Introducing China Consumer 2023

China Consumer 2023 is CBBC’s flagship consumer event of the year and will take place across two days – on the 4th and 5th of July in a central London venue.

The event is a must-attend for any ambitious British consumer brand looking to make its mark in China.

Day One – 4 July:

Day one of the event will feature a full day conference in which UK consumer brands can hear from leading experts on the China opportunity. Jam-packed with dynamic panel sessions as well as breakout workshops exploring topics ranging from China’s Metaverse to Chinese tourism and guides on how to set up in-market, the event offers an unrivalled opportunity for business networking and China strategy building.

We are delighted to welcome several high profile speakers to the conference this year, including key representatives from companies including Harrods, Diageo, Molton Brown, EY Fabernovel and Sybarite, amongst others.

Day Two – 5 July:

Day Two of China Consumer 2023 is composed of an online Meet the China Partner session, through which British brands can identify and create relationships with new Chinese buyers in a cost-effective way and develop these connections until their next China visit. Following the session, CBBC will offer follow-up support and China market insights to build on the connections made.

This will be followed by CBBC’s Chinese Influencers Programme – a truly unique chance for UK consumer brands to hear from Chinese Key Opinion Consumers. The session will bring together 6 dynamic London-based Chinese influencers to participate in targeted focus groups discussing any questions a UK brand or hospitality business has in relation to consumer perceptions, new product or experience launches, packaging, trends, shopping behaviour, and more.

We are so happy to have built a relationship with the CBBC who has been giving us the most incredible guidance into the China Market. By participating in this programme and Interacting with Influencer’s and Student’s from China, that are living in the UK, has been the best insight before launching Benny Hancock FOR MEN into China. Market research on your product offering is essential as it gives you confidence that you are making strong decisions for the market you are entering into. Just because a specific product or shade works in the UK doesn’t necessarily mean it will be successful in China. I recommend everyone does market research like this before entering into China!” – Benny Hancock, Co-Founder, Benny Hancock – FOR MEN (participant in Meet the China Influencers session)

Umberto Giannini were delighted to join CBBC in their influencer session as part of China Consumer 2022. It was a pleasure to spend time with both Influencers and students and we gained invaluable insights regarding market appetite and positioning for our brand in China.” – Jo Butcher, Commercial Director, Umberto Giannini (participant in Meet the China Influencers session)
